Dear WEST Community,

WEST has been monitoring the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on the WEST Community. WEST is following the guidance of the CDC, medical professionals, and public health officials. We urge everyone to follow the same guidance.

As you know, WEST has a very active events program and thrives on your participation. For your safety and the safety of our community, we are issuing the following guidelines for WEST events and meetings:

Venue or Host Company Cancellation/Postponement
If the venue or the host company of a WEST event should cancel or close, WEST will work to reschedule the event. We will be in touch if we have to change locations, reschedule, or cancel an event.  You can choose to attend the rescheduled event, receive a credit to attend another event, get a refund for your registration fee, or donate your registration fee to WEST.

Public Health Policy
In the event public health officials (federal, state, or municipal) ask us to postpone or cancel any events for the safety and well-being of our participants, we will postpone/cancel the event immediately and communicate with you.

Self-Monitoring and Attendance
Please do not attend a WEST event if you have symptoms of COVID-19. Please seek medical advice promptly from a health care professional. Please do not attend a WEST event if you or any member of your household has traveled to a country on the CDC’s list of Level 3 Travel Health Notice within the last 14 days, or if you or any member of your household has had direct exposure to someone with COVID-19, or you have any reason to believe that you may otherwise have been exposed in the past 14 days. You can choose to attend another event, get a refund for your registration fee, or donate your registration fee to WEST.

Your Company’s Policy
If you cannot attend a WEST event due to your company’s policy, please contact Jaime Luna, WEST Director of Operations. We will take these on a case-by-case basis.

WEST will continue to actively monitor the situation as it develops and may take additional actions as necessary. In the meantime, please take care of yourself and those around you.  The CDC recommends everyday habits to help prevent the spread of several viruses.

Thank you,

WEST Co-Chairs
