Description:

Interviewing is a vital skill for succeeding in the world of science and technology. It has been shown that 95% of the jobs we land are through people we know, often through an informational interview. If 10 or 100 people are interviewing for the job you want, what puts you over the top and out in front? Understanding the purpose and outcome of each interview will give you a powerful edge in achieving your goals.

This lively, interactive three hour workshop will focus on improving your ability to ask for informational interviews and make them productive.  It will take the mystery out of key aspects of job interviewing, and teach you concrete skills for reaching out to others so you can achieve your full potential. In this session, you will learn:

  • How to grow your network strategically
  • Make the most of your informational interviews
  • Set achievable interviewing goals
  • Learn strategies for successful job interviews

We will actively practice these techniques in a variety of exercises. Plan on bringing examples of jobs you are currently (or would like to be) interviewing for.
