Karen Anderson, SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals

Karen Anderson joined Alnylam in 2014 from Biogen Idec where she served as Vice President, Human Resources for R&D and Corporate Development. Prior to Biogen Idec, Karen was the Vice President of Human Resources, Commercial for Pfizer Inc. covering both Developed Markets and Emerging Markets. Earlier in her 10-year tenure with Pfizer, Karen supported Worldwide R&D. Before joining Pfizer, she spent 6 years at Baxter, most recently as Global Human Resources Director. Her career as a human resources leader in the bio-pharma industry began in 1995, when she joined Bayer as Director of Compensation from her role as an Associate Consultant with the Hay Group. Karen received a Masters in Organizational Psychology and Development from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with honors in both Psychology and Labor Relations from York University in Toronto, Canada.

Javier Barrientos, Senior Director, Global Diversity & Inclusion, Biogen

Javier Barrientos is Senior Director of Global Diversity and Inclusion at Biogen, a leading biotechnology company with 7,000+ employees worldwide. Prior to joining the company, he served Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts as Diversity and Inclusion Programs Manager. Originally from Costa Rica, Javier developed his human resources career through US-based positions with Bank of America, the TJX Companies, Business for Social Responsibility and his own consultancy. He received an MBA from Boston University and a graduate certificate in Diversity Management from Cornell University, and he is a coaching graduate of the Augere Foundation and Coaches Training Institute in Barcelona, Spain.

 

Marsha H. Fanucci, Board of Directors of Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc., FORMA Therapeutics, Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Momenta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. 

Marsha H. Fanucci formerly served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Millennium Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, where she was responsible for corporate strategy, finance, and operations. While at Millennium, she also served as Vice President, Finance and Corporate Strategy and Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategy. Prior to her tenure at Millennium, she was Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy at Genzyme and Vice President and Director of Arthur D. Little, Inc. Ms. Fanucci is a member of the board of directors of Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc., FORMA Therapeutics, Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Momenta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and. She also serves on the board of the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Care. She received her B.S. in Pharmacy from West Virginia University and her M.B.A. from Northeastern University. 

Christelle Perros-Huguet, Ph.D., is the Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer

Christelle Perros-Huguet, Ph.D., is the Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of the Inflammation & Remodeling Research Unit at Pfizer, which focuses on developing medicines for chronic inflammatory diseases, with an emphasis on chronic pulmonary diseases and chronic kidney diseases. Prior to her current role, Dr. Perros-Huguet served in a number of leadership positions within Pfizer, including Chief Scientific Officer of Worldwide Pharmacokinetics Dynamics & Metabolism, Research Head of the Genito Urinary Therapeutic Area, and Allergy & Respiratory Biology Lin Director. Dr. Perros-Huguet studied in France, Germany and Switzerland, receiving a French University Diplomas in Technology (DUT) in applied biology and biochemistry, and a European engineering degree in biotechnology sciences. She received a Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology from the Institute Pasteur in France.
